Meet Callaghan
"We hired Amplify Entertainment for our 30 Year Reunion which was a “Big 80’s Dance Party”. Callaghan was absolutely wonderful! He was very professional and thorough; he had a number of calls with us and continuous correspondence leading up to the event to coordinate specific songs with our program. He has a great personality and I heard feedback from quite a few of our classmates that they were very impressed with him. Callaghan and Amplify Entertainment made our event so special and memorable! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!"

"Thank you so much for sending Callaghan. He was awesome! Very patient and understanding of any changes. Every time I approached him to make an on the fly announcement to the crowd, he did fantastic. Plus, I noticed he played a Pixies’ song at one point, so he really couldn’t do any wrong after that. We were extremely grateful to have him be a part of our event!"

About Callaghan
Hey folks! My name is Callaghan. My love for music far exceeds any other art form. My parents did a great job at refining my musical palette at a young age. My dad showed me the good classic rock (Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, etc.) that most dads know and love. And mom introduced me to the 80s bands (Talking Heads, B-52s, etc.) that she grew up dancing and partying to. My older brother started playing guitar 11 years ago and I picked up bass guitar fairly recently. Needless to say I’m constantly surrounded by music!
Tell us some fun facts, Callaghan!
- I’m currently studying Philosophy and Editing, Writing and Media at Florida State University
- Last year I did a solo backpacking trip through Peru for 3 weeks.
- My childhood diet consisted solely of Red Baron Pizza and chocolate milk.
What is your favorite genre of music?
I’ve gone through many phases, ranging anywhere from ’90s hip hop to Motown. Currently, my favorite genre is ska which I describe as upbeat beach music. As a native to St. Petersburg, Florida, ska definitely hits close to home.
What has been your favorite live performance?
I’ve seen the Avett Brothers three times. Most recently, I saw them at Shaky Knees music festival in Atlanta. Most of their music has a minor key, slow and folky feel to it, but surprisingly they came out and rocked the crowd harder than I’ve ever seen!
