On another note, getting married in Florida as a same-sex couple meant my husband and I had to be be sure everybody we considered working with — caterers, photographers, rental companies, etc. — was accepting and inclusive. Unfortunately, there’s no state-wide protections from discrimination based on sexual orientation in Florida. We didn’t want to be left in a lurch the day of the wedding, so we made it a point to always address this with folks we’d work with first. Nate and Dexter at Amplify were great! No problems, didn’t miss a beat. They conveniently had a wedding guidebook specifically for same-sex couples too. It was a pleasure working with them.”
