Allison and Alex celebrated their special day with 200 of their closest family and friends on the Raven Lawn at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin. The ceremony, for which we provided sound and one of our live violinists, was elegant and simple, ending with an energetic recessional walk to the song “This Will Be” by Natalie Cole! Across the lawn under the reception tent waited a homemade pomegranate jelly by the grooms family for all guests to remember the date, a delicious treat. Allison and Alex had their entourage enter the reception with the song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake, after which they followed in to the song “Cheerleader” by Omi, where a standing ovation awaited them. Allison and Alex then shared their first dace as husband and wife to the song “At Last” by Etta James, the same song that Allison’s parents danced to on their own wedding night.
Knowing Allison had once been a cheerleader, it was only appropriate to start the party off with the FSU Fight Song! That was only fuel to the fire already cooking as we all danced to some old and modern country music, like Eric Church and Garth Brooks, as well as '90s pop like Backstreet Boys and N’Sync, and some Hip Hop & RnB like Missy Elliot and Ciara. The energy that was felt on the dance floor could hardly be contained!
By the end of the night it was hard for anyone to leave, in part because all their excitement and energy was left on the dance floor and didn’t have anything else left to get to their cars! No one left without a smile on their face from the love and happiness that was felt that night.
