Courtney and JP were so easy to work with from day one and planning their wedding music, timing and other details together was a breeze and felt like hanging out with friends. They both come from good families who like to come together and celebrate.
Courtney's dad approached me about a surprise he had for his daughter. They would dance to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw, but then the music would cut to Jailhouse Rock by Elvis, at which point (the surprise part) he would pull off his suit coat revealing a straight-up gold blinging Elvis jacket! The songs would then switch from Elvis to MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" to the Sugarhill Gang's "Apache," followed UNK's "Walk It Out" and finally cutting to N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye." The guests erupted in cheers, and it was definitely one of the most epic father-daughter dances I've ever seen. The whole thing was flawless and one of many special and fun moments of Courtney and JP's wedding!
The ceremony was held inside the atrium at Mission San Luis with their beautiful wood-carved doors as the backdrop.
Once we got to the party, as promised, there was not a single slow song from the opening of the dance floor to the send-off and we were all totally drenched in sweat and exhausted from the non-stop party! I played everything from Elvis and Motown to Michael Jackson and 90s pop to lots of hip hop, rap and all-around bangers! I was so thrilled to have DJed this wedding for these two and would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
