I had a great time getting to know the wedding party before the ceremony and reception, which were both at the beautiful Ball House and Cottages. There was some very light rain when I arrived to set up my equipment, but it was gone by the time everything got started and the rest of the day and evening were perfect. Among great clients, past clients, their friends and family, and the incredibly professional wedding vendors (seriously, look at the list below), it felt like a bunch of friends coming together for a production of epic proportions. Nora's younger sister, Alyssa, and I colluded for a secret performance that involved her singing and playing a ukulele. Needless to say, she killed it and everyone loved it. The toasts were well delivered and memorable, and of course my favorite part was the party. And what a party it was! I was joined by my brother and fellow DJ, Dave. We danced to everything from the Beatles, Whitney Houston and the Spice Girls to Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and Icona Pop. We sang along to Piano Man, Friends in Low Places and Don't Stop Believing loud enough to be heard throughout the neighborhood. We even had a fun moment where we were given some mini maracas to pass out. The song we chose to dance and shake to? Why Elvis Crespo's Suavemente, of course! Somewhere along the way, we needed a good slow dance, so I secretly snuck in Kat's and Chad's first dance song and it was a lot of fun reliving their moment. At the end of the night, we send everyone out to light up sparklers for the grand exit and when they left, played a private last dance song (I highly recommend it, by the way!) courtesy of Michael Buble to cap of an incredible evening and moment in their lives together. We couldn't have had a better last wedding before the holidays and were so honored to have been a part of Nora's and Pat's wedding day and epic evening at the Ball House and Cottages!
