“Miggy and AMPLIFY are the absolute best!

From the initial booking to our final check-in, we received valuable insight on wedding timelines, speeches, and parts of the wedding day that could easily be overlooked.

Before our final check-in, Miggy shared with us a ceremony and a reception questionnaire. These questionnaires ensured we captured all the important beats of the wedding and their accompanying songs. And Miggy helped guide us through the parts we weren’t sure about. After the final check-in, Miggy maintained great responsiveness leading up to the wedding day.

Miggy arrived with plenty of time for set up, so when the wedding party arrived before the ceremony, everything was already set up and ready to go. He used a lapel mic for the officiant and me, and he ensured it was positioned in a way that minimized its visibility on camera while still picking up everything for the guests to hear.

During cocktail hour and dinner, Miggy did a great job as our MC and guided guests on where they needed to be, reminded them to sign the guestbook, and so much more – all in both English and Spanish!

And once the dancing started, it did not stop! We gave Miggy the fun challenge of blending Colombian, South African, and US music, and wow, did he deliver! So much so that our guests have made sure to tell us multiple times after the wedding how much fun they had. Even the people we least expected on the dance floor were out there dancing with my wife and me.

What I think I appreciated the most about Miggy and AMPLIFY was their attention to detail. For example, Miggy tailored the song selections for the Hora Loca to the Colombian crowd, and that was crucial in making it one of the highlights of the night! And another instance, Miggy kept a close eye on the radar as small rain clouds approached during cocktail hour and worked with our coordinator so we could perfectly time our outdoor first dance with the weather.

Overall, the music knowledge, DJ skills, knowing how to match the crowd’s energy, and professionalism made Miggy the best wedding DJ we could have ever hoped for!”
