Even though it's less than four miles from Capital Circle (and therefore not too far from hotels with room blocks), the Space at Feather Oaks leaves the craziness of Capital Circle behind and replaces the honking cars and standstill traffic with horses, beautiful landscaping (and even a garden), a large fire pit, and a relaxing outdoor environment that features a chandelier, covered pergola, and beautiful oak tree that serves as the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony.

Inside, we love the bar and the areas where the couple and wedding party can take care of changing, hair/make-up and getting ready to party the night away!

But our favorite part of the venue is the outside area where the horses are hanging out right there with you. There's even a dedicated outside bar (we LOVED it when they made this addition) so you can allow for guests to refill their beverage of choice during the party without sending them inside (which would cut them off from the party). It's a truly beautiful and relaxing space, and most of our clients have both their ceremony and reception outdoors.

The staff at the Space at Feather Oaks is top-notch and they're always on-hand to assist, whether you need someone to start up the bonfire, help adjust seating due to dark clouds rolling in, or assisting an elderly couple make it to their seats for dinner. They are kind and helpful not only to you as the client, but to your guests and your vendors (yes, we're totally speaking from experience because we DJ dozens of weddings here each year).

• When using the indoor bar, be sure to reserve a sound system or live musician for that space, ensuring the perfect vibe for your cocktail hour. We'll use a speaker designed for a space that size that is the perfect background volume.

• We recommend using the outdoor bar once cocktail hour is over, which ensures your guests can refill their beverage of choice during the party without sending them inside, away from the party. It's a charming bar that's only steps from the horses and nice and close to the dance floor!
  
  
• For outdoor receptions, you'll need a dance floor and subfloor, and we've used all of our style options there. The great news is that there isn't a dance floor style that clashes with the Space at Feather Oaks. Having said that, the most popular options here are dark maple, oak parquet and checkerboard.
  
  
• Unless it's summer, definitely use the fire pit. It's awesome and allows for some delicious s'mores and hot chocolate! 🙂
