Your guests will discover 190 years of history and walk the meticulously maintained grounds very intentionally kept mostly the same as they always have been. In fact, Goodwood is sought out for photos even by those not getting married at this venue as the gardens here paint a true picture of natural north Florida that is unlike any other.

Part of the 23,000 acres of Florida land granted to the Marquis de Lafayette due to his invaluable contributions to Revolutionary War, Goodwood has a rich history and many current uses for its structures, from the Jubilee House to the cottages that serve as the perfect space for hair, make-up, and getting dressed up.

Most wedding receptions at Goodwood take place in the Carriage House, a spacious and unforgettable event space with endless opportunities for personalization and added clever details. The courtyard is the perfect space for a cocktail hour and a few live musicians.

• One of our favorite looks inside the Carriage House is when the decor team add white pipe and drape to the back wall of the venue and we add our custom-color uplighting. It's a breathtaking site as soon as each guest walks through the door.

• Our Custom Monogram Lighting is almost always in one of two locations at Goodwood, and both add appeal and personalization to this already beautiful venue. The first is just under the gable outside of the Carriage House and the second is on the dance floor inside the Carriage House. If you can't choose between the two, you can actually book a second Custom Monogram Lighting and have both.
  
  
• While we love the built-in dance floor at Goodwood, we've had some clients want to take their unique style to the next level by booking one of our dance floors and placing it and our DJ toward the front entrance, and covering the built-in dance floor with guest tables to totally flip the room. This strategy also has a functional benefit since it places your dance floor, DJ and the bar within close proximity for an even more epic party at the end of the night!
  
  
• For an incredibly clean and functional look at your wedding ceremony, consider adding our Wireless PowerPack, which eliminates the not-so-stellar look of extension cords while also removing a potential trip spot between where power is located at the ceremony location and where the sound system should ideally be set up.
