One of the most exquisite wedding venues in the area, South Eden in Thomasville, GA is a destination in and of itself. As soon as your wedding guests pass through the main gates, it's as if they've been transported to another location altogether with so many options for small gatherings and large events. Amplify has DJed more than 50 weddings here and we continue to be delighted with a new detail, building, or room with each visit to this historical resort built in 1825.

The most popular wedding ceremony set-up here is at the front of the pool house, which is covered in beautiful greenery and is highlighted by a marble backdrop and fountain, as well as a brick walkway. From there, guests typically make their way into the historical main house for cocktail hour (oftentimes taking advantage of the stunning Scarlett Lounge). Dinner typically takes place in the main dining room called the Harvest House, spilling out onto the chandelier porch. Special dances, toasts, and the party portion of the evening then follow just down the beautiful, oversized marble steps of the porch where a dance floor awaits on the grass of the Magnolia Field under hanging string lights.

The venue does feature other stunning venues on-site, though, that can be used for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and even as a legitimate rain contingency for the reception itself should the need arise. Some of these that we love in particular include the exposed brick studio, the historical showboat theatre, and the sunken courtyard garden. Another feature our clients love: The bridal suite, which is second to none.

South Eden also offers full in-house catering, bartenders, tables, chairs, silverware, and even an on-site coordinator. In keeping with its destination vibe, it also offers 24 guest suites throughout its 38-acre property, as well an an on-site spa. Trust us, you won't want to ever leave this place.

• One of our favorite venues at South Eden is the Scarlett's Lounge, which reminds us of a super classy 1920s speakeasy with its copper tile ceiling, red tufted booths, chandeliers and the exquisite wood-bar. It's perfect for a cocktail hour and we recommend reserving our extra sound system for this space so you can ensure the perfect soundtrack to match this unique space. • As we mentioned above, Scarlett's Lounge is the ultimate cocktail hour spot, but once the party ramps up outside, you probably don't want to force your guests through two different rooms to get their next drink. We recommend adding a bar near the dance floor in the Magnolia Field for the best possible flow and party atmosphere.
  
  
• Most often, dinner buffets are served from the Silver Spoon Dining Room 1. We typically work with your planner/coordinator to gradually release tables (typically two at a time) so that it doesn't become a long line.
