Originally a 1920s-era power plant (how cool is that?), the Edison lies in the heart of Tallahassee's Cascades Park. It's known mostly for its high-end restaurant serving regional Florida favorites, its views of Cascade Park, and the lively vibe in general that only a restored historic building like this could offer. But it also has a few different event spaces that are perfect for weddings and other events.

We've DJed many weddings and events here and have always loved the distinctive allure of the building and it's unique architecture, made all the more memorable by its park and nearby downtown surroundings.

Insider Tips

  • The inside spaces are stunning, but for larger groups, you may need to utilize the outdoor space. What's great is that the outdoor space is beautiful with a backdrop of the Edison building itself and Cascades Park. Plus, you can utilize both spaces and flip the script of most weddings by having the ceremony indoors and the reception outdoors. • Custom Monogram Lighting on brick is basically the coolest thing ever. It fits so well into the vibe of the venue while personalizing it to your wedding.
